  1. Animal Feeding Operations (AFOs) are agricultural operations where animals are kept and raised in confined situations where feed is brought to the animals rather than the animals grazing or otherwise seeking feed in pastures, fields, or on rangeland.

    - Health and sanitation issue
    - Chickens are weakened
    - Antibiotic resistant bacteria
    - High capital inputs and low labor input
    - companies hold the farmers like hostages by creating debt for them
    - typical borrows 500,000 but only earns 18,000 years

  3. Confined Animal Feeding Operations:
    Animals are kept and in confinement for at least 45 days in a 12 month time period, and there are no grass or other vegetation in the confined area for grazing.
